How to Make Money Blogging in 2013

Earning money blogging in 2013 is a way to make a little money working from home. I have written countless blogs about the strategies I have used in the past to make money with blogging, including all kinds of hair brained schemes, strategies and gimmicks. In the end, simplicity is key. I am going to make a list of How to Make Real Money Blogging in 2013, and this should appeal to new bloggers (even if you do not even have one yet) and also to bloggers who are struggling to make any money on their blogs. New bloggers who want resources check out Blogging for Beginners and Starting a Blog.

Now on to how to make money blogging in 2013

Google Adsense
You can use any advertising company here to sell ads on your blog. I use Project Wonderful at times, but mostly Google Adsense. It just depends or your website and what kind of ads you want. If you see my sidebar, in-between blog posts, and at the bottom of my blog you will see the different ads Goolge Adsense allows you to use. I use them all so you can get a good idea of what the diversity of advertisements look like. Each one of those ads, if you click it, make me money. Eventually checks will come in the mail. You can have an incredibly popular blog, but if you want to make money, you will need ads on your site. Personally, I wish I could paid without having to put ads all over the place. But it just does not work that way. Pick the right balance and types of ads for your site, and Google Adsense is GREAT at scanning your site and choosing relevant ads.

Be a Social Media Jedi
In 2013 the utmost important part of being a blogger is knowing how to use social media to drive traffic to your websites. This is true especially if you are trying to make money with your website. You need people to go on your site (like you are on mine) and you need them to click those ads. You need a lot of people logging on to your website, before you see very many clicks. One thing you can do is offer all sorts of incentives for people to check out your website, and really hype up your posts. If you do this with every post and your start building an audience, you will find that a lot of people show up and starting clicking your paid advertisements.

Consistency

Consistency in subject matter, and in frequency. Post as often as you can, and recognize who your readers are and play to them. If you start jumping around (a major mistake I made with my blogs) people will lose interest, or need to weed through posts that are not relevant just to find the ones they like. It is very important to be consistent and the hard work will pay off in the end. I would highly advise you to start 3 blogs with different topics, than mush them altogether on one. And you will find it a lot more successful.

Now Trending

If you want to really appeal to the most readers, watch what is trending and then find ways to incorporate those topics into your blog. You can explode with viewers and readers. Plus, you will be surprised to see how many people are wanting to click through your ads looking for other things.

Good luck making money blogging this year!
