Have search engines gone too far?
I admit I enjoy Gmail, Google search engines, and other various google products. I also am very impressed with Google's business strategies and overall power as a company. However... have you heard of the Church of Google and/or Googlism?

9 proofs
This Church of Google claims 9 proofs why Google is god. It claims things like claiming Google is Omniscient and Omnipresent, it can answer our prayers and lives an immortal life on one or millions of servers. A website religion? Have search engines gone too far? Are they too powerful?

Power of Google
I for one, fear the power of search engines, and their ability to control what we want to see, or know. A huge majority of advertising is now done through search engines, and more specifically google, and it is growing at an alarming rate. Google is gaining control of more information, more money, more history, than anything we've ever known. Google as a corporation and search engine behemoth is threatening our web independence.

Evil Google
I begin to wonder if Google is simply just Big Brother keeping an eye on us all. Google has the potential to be very evil, if this power gets into the wrong hands, or if greed sets in, google could rule the world.
