Invest with as little as $25 and make money

I have recently been turned on to Lending Club as a way to invest small amounts of money and in order to receive 10% interest on the money loaned. Like many people, I have been pretty disappointed in CD's (certificate of deposits) and other IRA accounts. Even my works retirement plan is performing so poorly that it is almost not worth doing.

Those needing money can consolidate debts and borrow money to help with credit cards and mortgage rates. Here is an example:

Lending Club allows you to put small amounts of money up to lend, spread across multiple notes in order to receive small monthly payments. You can also do it as an IRA Investment options. There is also the option to lend to riskier notes, or safer notes with the riskier notes earning a higher percentage. There is always a chance that the loans could default and you could lose money on that note. Although Lending Club has a pretty good system for approving those asking for a loan.

There is also a pretty sweet referral program at Lending Club which can net you some pretty sweet bonuses for getting other people to try it out. So if you have a little extra money that you plan to save you should check it out.

$745 Blogging Online

It is against the agreement with the company I use to make this money, but I wanted to report earning with my blogging ventures. I will report that I use different products on different blogs (6 in total) and I have been earning slowly over the last three months to equal quarter earnings of $745 for 2014. It has been a long road of exploration and hard work to get all of the blogs firing on all levels and making me some money.

In the end, I am happy to say that this was my biggest earnings over a three month period and different blogs earned different amounts (which i cannot disclose). I have now been blogging for nearly 8 years and started with one blog. It spawned into 6 and now finally it is paying off.

My best advice for new bloggers are these:

Consistency
Blog about things you love
Tips & Tricks
Experiment with forms, content, and products
Patience

I wish you luck with your blogs, and please post your earnings below! I would love to know how I stack up.

Make Money on Craiglist

The first warning here is that to truly make the big money on craigslist you need to work at it non-stop and you need transportation (preferably your own vehicle with lots of space) and be able to lift and walk without much effort. To be the most effective you need a sidewalk or lawn to put things on.

Craigslist Vulture
http://craigslist.com
I have a friend who simply scours craigslist constantly simply finding good deals and then selling them to someone else. You can sometimes actually sell things being shown on the free section of craigslist in another place, like ebay, consignments stores and antique stores or back on craigslist. My friend will pick up things from the free section and drop them off in front of his yard with a $20 sign on it, and make a new post on craigslist's for sale portion. Amazing how if you have the space and the patience you can sell just about anything. It only takes a few cash-ins per months to be swimming in it. If you are willing to go outside, or have a car you can amplify your earnings by picking up junk and reselling it to consignment shops or antique stores.

Hoarding Issues
The biggest downfall of this strategy to make money is that it is very easy to fill your living space or yard with junk and become a massive hoarder. You need to be detached from these things and if they do not sell after a set amount of time (two weeks?) then you need to get rid of it. The amount of stuff you can collect is endless on craigslist especially if you can drive long distances and live in or close to a city. A rural part of the country it may be much harder to make this profitable.

Dink and Dunk
You might spend 4 hours a day collecting things, and a few hours a day selling things and only make a few dollars here and there. But once you get into a routine it is quite easy to make between 20-60 per day consistently, and some days you might make $200. The key thing is to be a good communicator and have a good eye for what people will buy and for how much they might spend. After enough experience you can spot diamonds in the rough and also be able to spot which things are not worth picking up.

Top 5 Work at Home Jobs and Strategies for 2014

Searching for ways to make real money by working at home I ran across some great comments:

"I am a former college professor and have been working from home for 12 years and love it. This is an excellent article. As you can see, contrary to popular belief, there really are free, no scam work from home jobs out there. First, never ever pay for a job. If you are ever asked for a dime, it is either a scam or a "business opportunity"" by kosovohp

"Great article. I am a former college professor and have been working from home now for 12 years. When you are looking for a home based job, I following 2 rules. First, never pay for a job, they should pay you. Next, if it sounds too good to be true, unfortuantely, it is. Very few people are going to earn $50 an hour doing data entry. It just doesn't happen. If you are looking for legitimate, free, no scam, no mlm work from home jobs, I highly recommend the Legitimate Online Job Directory at http://www.LegitimateOnlineJobDirectory.com. They have everything from entry level to executive work from home jobs and they are all legit. I hope this helps." by coloradoprof

"Another great way to make money online is to take paid surveys. There are a lot of companies that pay you to share your opinion. You simply answer questions about their products and services, and they pay you.A lot of people think that all paid surveys are scams.Actually that is not right. If you want to find quality and legitimate survey sites and start making money today, follow my tips.1)Join ONLY legitimate and free survey sites. You can find them on Google, but DON'T type broad keywords like "surveys", or "paid surveys".Instead, try something more specific, like "paid surveys with free registration" or "how to find legitimate surveys for money".That way you will find better results.2)NEVER share your credit card information or your SSN.3)Try to find more information about the survey companies you plan to join by typing "YourSurveyCompanyName" + scams, forums, review. That way you will find more information about every site, you are interested in.4)Join several free survey companies. That way you will make more money.Hope that helps." by LeilaTorresa

Reading such awesome comments from people who know what they are talking about led me to make my own list of 5 work at Home Oppertunites. All of these work at home oppertunities are currently active and relatively new.

Craigslist Vulture
http://craigslist.com
I have a friend who simply scours craigslist constantly simply finding good deals and then selling them to someone else. You can sometimes actually sell things being shown on the free section of craigslist on another site like ebay or etsy and then have the original owner ship it. You can pay the owner the shipping from the money you made from the sale. This is hard work and a huge headache, but for the right person it only takes a few cash-ins per months to be swimming in it. If you are willing to go outside, or have a car you can amplify your earnings by picking up junk and reselling it to consignment shops or antique stores. Also, simply watching the job opportunities on craigslist can land you with pretty awesome work at home jobs right in your neighborhood. Keep your eye out for local companies needing simple services. Keep in mind the bigger the city you live in, and/or the closer proximity to cities the better chance you have for craigslist to pay off.

Fiverr
http://fiverr.com/

You will be making money $5 at a time afterwards. A great work at home website, and you can offer a handful of services at a time!

Can You Really Make Money Doing Surveys Online?

I read all the time that one good way to make money at home is to do surveys. I really wanted to know if people can really make good money doing surveys. Here is what I learned:

MLS says:

"You can, but not much. I've tried that several times over the years, and the most I've ever made is about $40 a month, and not every month.

It's okay for extra cash, but not as a way to make a living, even any real supplemental income. And most of the time, the survey will screen you out. It can get frustrating.

If you try this, only join survey sites that are free. The ones that make you pay to join aren't worth it. There's a site called Opinion Outpost that both connects you with free survey taking sites and sometimes gives you surveys of its own. That's where I'd go first.

Most survey taking sites are US based, and many of them are open only to US residents, sometimes US and Canada residents. A very few have a broader range than that. Minimum ages to join range from 13 to 18, and you have to be at least 18 or 21 to qualify for most of the surveys."

Guest 0012 says:

"I generally fill out surveys when I'm watching TV or during downtime at work. (Or when I'm bored.) Mostly, I use the money I earn as gifts for friends or family. I've probably earned around 100 dollars worth of gift cards through three different sites in the last couple years, plus a lot of magazine subscriptions (usually cheaper to cash in than actual cash prizes.)"
SAHM says:
"I've done online surveys for a couple of years now. It's not been bad at all. Yeah, I'm not going to get rich doing it, but I like to trade the points in on things I wouldn't normally get. We purchase extra airline miles and hotel points that get us free stays and trips. Most take just a little bit of time. I don't do the ones that require lots of time or going somewhere."
MSC says:
"Go to mysurvey123.com, and you will get survey site ratings.
I did this for a while and made about $100 a month. If you are temporarily unemployed, or have a lot of free time on your hand, then go for it. It can be frustrating when you don't qualify for the surveys after having spent more than ten minutes answering questions. It's like they get your input on most of the questions without paying you when you can't complete the rest of them.
You're better off taking online college courses and improving your education and future earning power.
People with moderate income get rich "saving" money at the rate of a few hundred dollars a month. So it's indicative of what people value for a hundred dollars a month, not the amount added to your income. If you enjoy taking surveys, we already know the benefit of compounding small amounts over time."

blogging for cash

Twitter is clever.
Blogging can get old.
Making money from my words.
A dream too many have.

When words have over crowded
an internet of no attention spans
so posts turn into poems

making money with blogging
is a fade
that never even existed
like pogs
or slinky dancers

google still pays me
once a year
for old ads on old pages

sadly my blog has no friends
no one clicks on the ads
and the posts are few and far between

never topical
only recycled.

100 bucks from google

This was a hard earned check. It took about 10 months to earn this money, I had to build 4 blogs, post about 100 blogs, and advertise myself all over the internet. I am very glad to finally cash a check (since you do not get a check until you have earned over 100 dollars with google adsense).

I wanted to post and prove it. Blogging can earn you real money, it just takes a ridiculous amount of time and effort. Needless to say, its a busy time, and blogging is tough (just see my last post for proof) but in the end, the blogs that I really enjoy doing are much easier to consistently update.

My fascination with the blogging culture has begun to die. I find too many people are blogging, and too many people are not caring, and I think its time to find something new.

Did you make 41 dollars this month?

I am a full time artist, part time blogger. You can see my artwork at www.williamhessian.com. I started blogging nearly a year ago, trying to find a way to make a little extra money on the side. You will quickly find out, by browsing my four blogs, that I only make a few dollars a month (last month 18.00 during my art tour). This month things picked up and here's how:

First an intro to my blogs:
Originally, I started Zombie Robot Frosting, which slowly spawned into Blog Blog Cherry (this blog) and then also the Bearded Bunny Art Blog and now even the brand new Icelandic Puffin.

Here is how I did in August:

the breakdown:

Project Wonderful $5.35 (all time $30.35)
Adbrite $0.09
Widgetbucks $1.20 (all time $39.26)
Google Adsense $14.13
Vume $0.00 (all time $4.75)
Pay Per Post $20.71

August 2008 Blogging Profits: $41.48 (New Record)

When I returned from my art tour in August, I was all fired up to get blogging. The popularity of my free miniature art hunts had helped boost some of my website statistics and helped me attain a google rank of 3 for a few weeks. This rank helped me get better offers from Pay Per Post which was my biggest earner of the month. i wrote two blogs which made me over 20 dollars. If you are a blogger and have not joined Pay Per Post, do so now!

You can also read my blog post about it here

Last month I ended my streak of new record earnings for blogging which happened four months in a row. However, I have broken a new all-time earning record this month and hope to continue where I left off. In a side note, I stopped using Adbrite due to its low success rate and have turned all of my blogs over to Google Adsense for advertising. In February I made 12 dollars, in March I made 17 dollars, April I broke 20 dollars, last month I broke the big two five, and now over 40 dollars in this month alone!

This month I hope to increase my traffic. Google was far more active during my mega popular Google Adsense Vs Loose Change challenge.

My Widgetbucks numbers has actually rebounded this month. Wudgetbukcs never earns me much, but a little bit here and there always helps.

How this month stacks up:
August 2008: $41.48
July 2008: $18.00
June 2008: $39.30
May 2008: $25.72
April 2008: $24.80
March 2008: $17.35
February 2008: $12.06
January 2008: $13.23
December 2007: $6.01
November 2007: $8.09
October 2007: $8.55

You can read about my July totals and compare.

To be honest, as mentioned in the intro paragraph it has been difficult to blog enough in the last few weeks. I've been busy working on designing my own card game, planning my miniature artwork hunt art tour among other thing. I still use many blog traffic products however I have been slacking on the consistency of using these tools. Meanwhile, my hard work in the first few months of blogging has been paying off and my numbers continue to grow.

If you are really serious about blogging make sure to see my first blog studies! Make sure you do not make the same mistakes as I did. My November Blog Totals and also my first pathetic month in October 2007

Make money with a free blog

Bust A Blog offer a pretty inticing deal, write blogs and get paid. Although that is what we all already ready do with Google Adsense and Project wonderful. Bust A Blog gives a new blogger the chance to write blogs and earn money without going through the hoopla of signing up for adsense themselves (although it is not hard).

I admit I would have considered Bost a Blog when I first started, because it all was a little overwhelming for me, blogging, advertising, selling space, getting pageviews, adding widgets ect.

Bustablog offers free search engine optimization, 100 layout templates, unlimited blog sign ups, and help maximizing your profits. I am curious how money people are making moey from this site. Are you, or do you know anyone on this site? If so, please leave a comment and let me know if the site is any good.

The main page layout reminds me of digg.com and seems to be a decent way to feature multiple blogs. Just out of curiosity I checked to see how many blogs where in the art & design section and only 7 blogs appeared. Either this blogging site is brand new, or else it has not been very popular. It also lists on the main page that 25 new blogs have been posted on this Monday so far. Which seems like a very small number for noon.

I plan to research this site a little more and find out how profitable this would be for new inexperienced bloggers. Meanwhile, if you are curious yourself check it out:

New Review Feature at Pay Per Post

PayPerPost is proud to introduce the new Review My Post program!

Two months ago I earned $20 writing one post at Pay Per Post. It was easy, and fun. However, since then I've been on the road and unable to do much more than reject open oppertunities. Today, I wrote my second PayPerPost, and hope to make another 5 dollars. Upon browsing the PayPerPost site I saw a new feature which gives me the option to add this button:

To all of my posts. Each time a reader like yourself clicks on it and signs up with PayPerPost I make some decent money ($7.50 each). This is a baffling sum, although I am interested to see how many people really jump on board and sign up with PayPerPost. Although, I do think PayPerPost is pretty excited, especially if you do not mind finding creative ways to write blogs for products you would not normally blog ago. If this was a perfect world we could all blog about the things we love and get paid for it, however, more often than not you will end up blogging or having the oppertunity to blog about shopping websites, debt companies or weight loss programs. The good thing is, that if you enjoy these things you can make 5-20 dollars per blog post about them. This is a very decent pay out. I am only doing pay per post on my art blog, and therefore i only find a few topics per month that are even remotely related to art. I also do not want to steer my readers away from the art content I really enjoy. Feel free to visit my art blog and try to pick out which of my last few blogs was the paid blog (its not very hard to guess).

If you have a blog and want to earn more money with it, definately give PayPerPost a try, and while your at it, sign up through the link below and make me and yourself some extra money.

anyone can make $39.30 blogging part time

Blogging for money....does it really work? I blog part time, and this month I have broken my new month record for three months in a row. Just when I start second guessing my blogging strategies once again a new money making path shows up and puts me over the top.

That being said, here are my record breaking June 2008 blog totals. The statistics encompas my four blogs. Originally, I started Zombie Robot Frosting, which slowly spawned into Blog Blog Cherry (this blog) and then also the Bearded Bunny Art Blog and now even the brand new Icelandic Puffin.

Note: I have been documenting my blog progress since the very beginning. Is it realistic to be able to make money blogging? Find out all the ways I tried to earn money and make your own decisions whether or not it is worth it. you can see links on my side bar to other posts, where I give details about my blogging strategies.

May 2008 Blog Profits: $25.72 (new record)

the breakdown:

Project Wonderful $5.51
Adbrite $1.08
Widgetbucks $0.90 (all time $37.58)
Google Adsense $12.71
Vume $0.00 (all time $4.75)
Pay Per Post $20.00

June 2008 Blogging Profits: $39.30 (new record)

Pay Per Post was my big new addition to the line up. I wrote one blog worth $20 and just like that I break another record. The coolest thing about pay per post is the fact that you get to look at a list of blogging topics, and if you like one and write about it you get the amount of money that the specific product or topic is paying. It is pretty cool. Check it out:

You can also read my blog post about it here

I have broken my all-time earning record four months in a row, while I have a long way to go before I start cracking triple digits, I am happing to be in double digits and climbing. In February I made 12 dollars, in March I made 17 dollars, April I broke 20 dollars, last month I broke the big two five, and now almost 40 dollars in this month alone!

Besides the new Pay Per Post, Google Adsense is once again my biggest earning profit center for my blogs, earning almost 20 dollars for the second month in a row. I attribute this succcess to new viewers to my blog and an increase in traffic. Google hasn't been this active since my mega popular Google Adsense Vs Loose Change challenge.

Adbrite has been disgustingly bad recently. This is the second worst performance in a month by AdBrite since 2007. I think this has to do with my blogging inactivity (only posting 5 blogs in May) and also due to very low click rates. I have to say I am dissapointed with AdBrite and am questioning making the full switch over to Google's Adsense (currently Adbrite only runs on one of 4 blogs).

My Widgetbucks numbers has actually rebounded this month. I was only earning a quarter a month for a while, which was poor compared to the 50 cent average in the late 2007 months, but now a nice 92 cent score makes the cash out minimum ($25) seem to be in the crosshairs...my total is $37.58.

How this month stacks up:
June 2008: $39.30
May 2008: $25.72
April 2008: $24.80
March 2008: $17.35
February 2008: $12.06
January 2008: $13.23
December 2007: $6.01
November 2007: $8.09
October 2007: $8.55

View my detailed March, February, January, and Decemberstatistics.

To be honest, as mentioned in the intro paragraph I have been a bit lazy with my blogging strategy lately. I've been busy working on designing my own card game, planning my miniature artwork hunt art tour among other thing. I still use many blog traffic products however I have been slacking on the consistency of using these tools. Meanwhile, my hard work in the first few months of blogging has been paying off and my numbers continue to grow.

A blogging artist gets Pay Per Post!

I just wrote a blog about called "blogging artist gets paid per post". That blog is about me!

Last week, a major break through in my blogging career happened…I stumbled on, and got accepted into Pay Per Post. Pay Per Post is a very exciting blogging site, which allows you to find blog topics that fit your site (for instance artwork for my blog) and write about them for money. If you are not aware of this site, you should be!

When I first found the site, I wondered if my niche art blog like my own would ever find anything to blog about that would be worth any money. I already have three open opportunities, and if I wasn’t just about to hit the road for my 2008 Art as Treasure Art Tour I would be all over them.

There are many more opportunities for blogs with larger readership than mine, however it is nice to know that even smaller more community based blogs can also get into the action. I am very excited to try it out and see how well it does for me. For many of you reading this on BlogBlogCherry you would probably get a lot more offer than me!

If you run a blog and are interested you should click the link above and check it out. Basically, your blog needs to meet a few criteria, like 10 posts per month and then you will start getting offers depending on your blog topic. Even if you don’t want to write blogs for money, it is still very interesting to see who IS and how much they get.

I will keep a running review of Pay Per Post and tell you how I think it is working for my art blog. In the meantime check out my art blog, and see how I'm doing.

A great addition to making money blogging!

Here's how I make money blogging so far.

How I make money blogging

It has been over 6 months blogging now.

Everything seemed so fresh and exciting at first. For a period of time my life revolved around trying to promote and write blogs. All i talked about was blogging, all i ever did was write blogs and research blogs. I was a blog a holic....and you have to be if you want to be successful.

I only consider myself to be a semi successful blogger so far. A foot in the door blogger maybe. A few hundred blog posts doesn't mean anything in the blogsphere, a few hundred unread blog posts simply means you are keeping a journal.

I have already documented the things I find stressful about blogging, and I've already explained what products I use to advertise my blog, and products I use to make money. You can even see exactly how much money I make each month....be forwarned...it isn't much.

If you are looking to get started making your own money blogging...you might be a lot better at it than me, then see my tips for new bloggers. It will help you get started blogging.

I made 25 dollars blogging last month. Slowly my earning are going up. The biggest tip I urge for new bloggers is to make sure it is something you WANT to do, and have TIME for. WANT and TIME. If you just want the money, and do not really want to write blogs....try something else....join one of THESE sites. Seriously. The third most important thing behind TIME and WANT is CREATIVITY. There are millions of blogs all over the place, why are people going to choose your blog over someone else's? You better be damn funny, or a good writer, or be able to take reallllly cute pictures of kittens...because otherwise you are screwed.

It is a struggle that my blog faces...my most popular, and also my favorite, posts are my Adsense VS Loose Change Challenge; where I try to find more money on the ground than Adsense makes me on my blogs, or Stop Trying to Beat Me; where I challenge other bloggers to a comment war. These are also some of the few unique ideas that I've been able to produce for Blog Blog Cherry, keep in mind I am coming up with other idea for my other blogs as well. These ideas are not recycled or rip offs and that is why they have potential to be a lot more entertaining for the reader.

You can copy people, or steal ideas, and in fact you MUST do some of that in blogging. Blogging is basically a world of copycats (which is actually a good title for another blog post). But you need to stand above the rest, if you want to even be moderately successful, plus you need to be obsessed with posting, advertising, reading and promoting your blog. It is a constant struggle. I know for a fact if I could focus more hours on my blog that my blogging career could be a lot more successful, but I am still a full time airbrush artist and a part time fine artist and those things take up a majority of my time. Not to mention the rest of my life which consists of a girlfriend, family, eating and paying those greasy bills.

For what I can put into blogging, I am happy to be making $25 a month. Hopefully I can devote enough time to keep that number climbing.

Moola has gone from GOOD to PISS POOR

Moola.com

For those of you unaware, Moola is a site where you get free money to play mini games. I managed to make over 100 dollars in 6 months with moola. It was the most fun, and best designed free money site I had seen in a long time. Yes, you had to watch an ad before each game, but it seemed worth it for some reason. I followed through on a couple of sign up offers which netted me my most money (these offers no longer exist on moola), and I used their search and win bonus daily, getting money to use their search engine (also gone now).

I have watched Moola go from having 4 thousand players at any given time in a day, down to 400. The bonuses have slowly been reduced or stripped away, the benefits of playing have been reduced, and the special deals and offers went from relevant and useful to straight up spamming garbage. I do not recommend this, but if you still wanted to check out how bad moola has gotten then use my free Moola Invite.

I could care less about Moola.com now. I feel slightly guilty for managing to get 46 referrals to join a site I claimed was worthwhile, only to have it become a dormant land of pointlessness. In fact, I, and a lot of other players, have developed a really bad taste in our mouths about all the changes. "Hey, its free money...what do you expect?" is what you are probably saying, and you are probably right. But when you set up a system and let people buy into it, and tell others to buy into it, you become disenfranchised when you see it changed on a weekly basis to maximize their profits and limit yours. As you know, if you have read my blog lately, I have made a switch to my new favorite free site: Cent Sports

Cent Sports

I do not need to repeat what I said in my cent sports review, but I really have faith that Cent Sports is a really well built free betting site. I have been enjoying it daily for nearly a month now. I am over $5 and climbing daily.

The referral system is good (as long as they dont change it)... since it seems almost too good (some people make 20 dollars a day simply from referrals, although you need hundreds of them) and once you start making good bets and your account starts rising it seems like often people are ending up with $50 balances all over the place. Especially if you enjoy sports, this is the best site I have found in a while. Check it out. Plus if you become my referral we can be friends and I'll give you tips on how the bonuses work, parlays and my strategy for getting above 5 bucks.

Tik Tik Cash- Free $5 and more

Today I was invited to try Tiki Tiki Cash and recieve a free $5. Every once in a while I participate in online surveys to make a few dollars here and there.

Tik Tik Cash in two hours has earned me eight dollars, thanks to the initial five dollars you recieve when you start. The site is just like other survey referral sites. You scan through a list of surveys, trials, games or products and it tells you how much cash you will recieve for signing up, answering questions or buying the product. Some of the amounts are very substantial ($10-50) while others are less than a dollar.

I personally simply do the surveys that seem legit. You can easily run into those terrible ad cycles, where you are simply turning down hudreds of horrible offers until you finally emerge on the other side of the maze like survey with another $1.50in your account.

If you were dedicated and had lots of time (and an email that you dont mind getting junk mail in) you could easily make a few hundred dollar in a weekend filling out surveys.

Tik Tik Cash is NOT for everyone. If you hate repetitive surveys, and spending time looking at useless ads, then do not sign up to tiki cash. Meanwhile, if you have some free time at work, and want to make a few extra dollars here and there give it a shot: Tik Tik Cash

As I said I am up to $8.00 and I will update with my progress in future posts.

Other Free Money Sites: (sites you do not have to pay anything to earn real cash)

My free money game site Moola.com account has stopped earning me money since the site has made some terrible changes. I will write a blog about this as well, but I dont expect to recieve anything beyond my last 10 dollar check. Total Moola earnings: $136.06 (in seven months)

My Cent Sports account on the ohter hand, is doing better than ever. Cent Sports is a free online sport betting site, and its legal. I am enjoying the site very much, and today my balance is: $3.88

Click any of the links above to read more about each free money site I am trying.
